Earlier today I decided to load Windows Vista on my MacMini via Bootcamp. What's interesting is after the initial load of Windows my computer went to a disk error message. At this point I started to panic because the Mac CD does not have an eject button on the CD drive. I decided to consult the Internet and the responses were frightening to say the least. One even suggested opening the system and removing the CD manually! OUCH!!! I did however found a couple of articles that pointed to holding, "Windows Key","Alt","O", and "F" during start up. This didn't eject the CD but it did allow me to run through the setup again.
RESOLUTION AND LESSON LEARNED: Make sure to Format your drive with FAT or NTFS. The mistake I originally made was selecting the option that said "Leave the drive as it is." Once I did this, the install ran successful and was able to get the CD out of drive once Windows loaded. WHAT A RELIEF!
OTHER NOTES: Once Windows is loaded right click on the CD and select Eject Disk.
